“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with U-NEXT in Japan. The Japanese market is extremely important for us and has such a wonderful fanbase that is so dedicated to its national stars such as Kei Nishikori. To be able to partner with U-NEXT and share many of our common values of excellence and innovation and to be able to bring the ATP Tour to its many fans in Japan via a market-leading platform is extremely exciting. We cannot wait for this next chapter together”.
Tenshin Tsutsumi, President and CEO of U-NEXT, added:
“U-Next has focused on golf, European soccer, and martial arts, and has strived to expand each sport as a place to support Japanese athletes who challenge the world, and to bring the world’s best play to the people of Japan. Now, with the addition of the ATP Tour, we have an environment where tennis fans can enjoy the world’s best play.
“As the fourth pillar of the sports genre following golf, European soccer, and martial arts, we will focus not only on matches but also on peripheral content. Please look forward to future developments.”
